About Rally Stage
You are driving on information rather than sight. Trusting the notes over the corner you can see is the skill, and the hairpins are where trust usually breaks down.
How to play Rally Stage
Attack the gravel special stage in Rally Stage: follow your co-driver's pace notes, keep the car out of the scenery and reach each split before the clock runs out.
Controls
- · Hold ◀ LEFT / RIGHT ▶ to steer through the corners (arrow keys work too).
- · Hold HANDBRAKE (space) to swing the back end round hairpins — it scrubs speed but doubles your turn-in.
- · The pace note under the buttons calls the next corner: the lower the number, the tighter it is.
Rules & scoring
- · Every split you reach adds 12 seconds to the stage clock and 50 points.
- · Metres covered on the stage all count towards your score.
- · Drop a wheel into the gravel and time bleeds away twice as fast until you are back on the road.
Tips
- · Brake and turn early on a hairpin — the car keeps sliding after you let go.
- · Straighten up over crests; the road often kinks the moment you land.
